Every property and municipality is different. While Post handles the standard shed permitting process, homeowners may still need to provide information or secure additional approvals based on their property or local requirements.
Property Documentation
Some municipalities may require a certified plot plan, a property survey, or other documentation that identifies property lines. When required, these materials must be provided by the homeowner.
HOA Approvals
Permits, permissions, or approvals required by a homeowners association are the homeowner’s responsibility.
Additional Property Permits
Shoreland, wetland, erosion, runoff and other special property or land-use permits are not included in Post’s shed permitting service.
Variances
If a project requires a zoning or other variance, obtaining that variance is the homeowner’s responsibility.
Permit Approval
Permit approval is ultimately determined by the local building department. Post cannot guarantee approval if required homeowner documents, information, or signatures are not provided, or if a permit is denied due to circumstances outside Post’s control.
